STEAM TREATMENT

Steam traps

Purpose of Steam Traps:
• Steam traps discharge condensate, air, and gases from steam systems while retaining live steam. Types of Steam Traps:
• Mechanical (float & thermostatic): Use buoyancy to open/close valve.
Thermodynamic: Use pressure/temperature differences.
• Thermostatic: Operate based on temperature changes.
• Inverted bucket: Use buoyancy with the aid of an inverted bucket inside to open/close
Applications:
• Steam heating systems
• Heat exchangers
• Industrial processing
• Steam distribution lines

Steam pressure reducing valves (PRV)

Purpose of Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) for Steam:
• Regulates and lowers steam pressure to a safe and usable level for equipment or processes.
• Used in: Steam distribution systems, heating systems, and industrial applications.

Burner nozzles

Purpose of Burner Nozzles:
• Atomize and direct fuel into the combustion chamber for efficient burning.
• Used in: Boilers, heaters, furnaces, and industrial burners.

Heavy/Light Oil and Gas Burners

Heavy/Light Oil Burners:
• Burners designed to combust heavy or light oils, providing heat for industrial processes.
• Heavy Oil Burners: Used for thick oils (e.g., diesel, fuel oils), typically in larger-scale systems.
• Light Oil Burners: Used for lighter fuels (e.g., kerosene, light diesel) in smaller or more refined systems.
Gas Burners:
• Burners designed for efficient combustion of natural gas or LPG.
• Purpose: Provide controlled, efficient heat in boilers, furnaces, and industrial heating.

Brass and Black threated Fittings

Purpose of Fittings:
• Connect, redirect, or control the flow of fluids or gases in pipes and hoses.
• Used in: Plumbing, industrial systems, HVAC, and oil & gas pipelines.

Seamless black pipes

Purpose of Seamless Black Pipes:
• Provide strong, durable pipes for transporting fluids and gases under high pressure.
• Sizes: Available in various diameters, commonly from ½’’ to 2" or more.
• Applications: Oil & gas, water, heating systems, and structural support in industrial settings.

Steam and water solenoid valves

Solenoid Valve:
• An electrically operated valve that controls fluid or gas flow.
Purpose:
• To automate flow control in systems by opening or closing based on electrical signals.
Applications:
• HVAC systems
• Water treatment
• Irrigation systems
• Industrial automation
Sizes:
• Available in small (¼" to 2") for residential, up to larger (4" or more) for industrial and commercial applications.

Burner control box

Burner Control Box:
• An electronic device that manages the operation of a burner, ensuring safe ignition, flame detection, and fuel regulation.
Purpose:
• Monitors burner functions
• Prevents unsafe conditions
• Controls ignition and shutdown sequences
Applications:
• Used in industrial and residential heating systems, boilers, furnaces, and ovens.

Sparking electrodes and ionisers

Sparking Electrodes for Burners:
• Devices that create a spark to ignite the fuel-air mixture in burners.
Purpose:
• Initiate ignition in gas or oil burners
• Ensure reliable and consistent flame start
Applications:
• Used in industrial boilers, furnaces, and heating systems.

Oil flexible hose

Oil Flexible Hose:
• A flexible tube designed to transport oil and other fluids in various systems.
Purpose:
• To convey oil without leakage or contamination.
• To accommodate movement and vibration in systems.
Sizes:
• Available in a range of sizes from 1/4" to 2" or larger, depending on the application.
Applications:
• Automotive fuel lines
• Industrial machinery
• Hydraulic systems
• Oil transfer in factories and refineries.
